MEDLOCK TO REVIVE AN IMPORTANT PART OF HISTORY
We are very pleased to announce the award by Greene King to refurbish the Sale Hotel. Works commenced on site on the 31st May and are expected to last 12 weeks. As part of our contract works we will be completely refurbishing the licensed area, updating and remodelling the function room, providing structural alterations to enlarge the kitchen area and then forming new manager’s accommodation over three floors.
The Sale Hotel was built in 1878 as part of the Sale Botanical gardens. The gardens, which included a ballroom, lake, cycle track and grass tennis courts closed in 1896. The Edwardian houses which surround the hotel were built on the former gardens.
